Description
Designed by the eclectic Japanese studio Nendo, directed by Oki Sato, Tape is a dining little armchair that follows the same silhouette of the original family of seats, slightly increasing the thicknesses to provide greater visual comfort, while maintaining its distinctive personality. The refined, enveloping line is accentuated by the soft curve of the shell, which shapes the armrest and accomodates a softly shaped lumbar cushion. Its Black Coffee-painted metal base, resting on Black Nickel or Champagne chrome feet, elegantly contrasts with the various leather or fabric finishes of the seat upholstery. The compact and comfortable proportions, the 360° swivel movement with return, and the iconic and characteristic lines make Tape a little armchair suitable for both residential and hospitality spaces.
Structure: Backrest with aluminium insert coated in fire-resistant polyurethane foam, and seat in wood covered with variable-density polyurethane foam. A metal strip, with finish the same as the base, is attached to the seat cushion. Backrest and seat encased in breathable heat-bonded fibre laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric for added softness.
Cushions: Lumbar cushion attached to the seat backrest contains a thermoformed structural element composed of polyester felt coated in fire-resistant polyurethane foam laminated to hypoallergenic white cotton fabric.
Covers: Upholstery is completely removable in both the fabric and leather versions.
Swivel base: Tubular metal, Ø 20 mm, varnished Black Coffee colour with glossy anti-fingerprint finish. 360° swivel movement with return. Black protective felt and polyethylene glides.
