Designer

Fabio Di Bartolomei

The Di Bartolomei-Design practice was founded in 1979 and focused mainly on Architecture and Interior Design, designing both public and private buildings and interiors. This was followed by Industrial Design projects in collaboration with some of the most important Italian companies in the furniture and lighting sector, including FIAM Italia, Tonon, Bieffeplast, Montina, Calligaris and Skipper. Amongst other things, in 1995 the Tango occasional table received an important accolade from the Museum of Modern Art in New York with its inclusion in the “Mutant Materials in Contemporary Design” exhibition due to its unusual combination of technology and design. Di Bartolomei has exhibited in various personal design exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 1996 he was awarded the Italian “Marcello d`Olivo” prize for Design.
