Description

Blending poetry and sculptural charm, the Nico table is an ode to the purity of material and the bold taste of the 1970s. Distinguished by a fascinating alternation of solids and voids, its base is formed by an interlocking interplay of shaped geometries which, in balance with each other, become the table’s stylistic hallmark.

The base, in marble or wood, hold up the round, oval, rectangular or hexagonal top with rounded edges. As a result of this continuity of materials between base and top, Nico boasts a unique aesthetic with a strong stage presence and timeless appeal, building a bridge between past and present. Nico has received the Honorable Mention at the XXIX edition of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Award, one of the most authoritative on the international design scene.

Top finishes: The tops are available in 20 mm thick contoured Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina, Grigio Orobico, Rosso Levanto and Verde Lepanto marble, or in 50 mm thick contoured MDF with brushed ash veneer in open-pore Licorice lacquer. Marble tops are supported by a 40 mm thick structural panel in laminated MDF and aluminium with a matt black varnished finish.

Base finishes: The base is available in solid Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina, Rosso Levanto or Verde Lepanto marble, or in MDF with brushed ash veneer in open-pore Licorice lacquer. An internal metal structure provides additional reinforcement.

N.B.: When the table is made fully of marble, the top and the base are in the same finish (with the exception of Grigio Orobico marble, available only for the top). The table 180x135 cm is available only in wood (top and base). The tables 180x150 cm, 250x150 cm and 320x150 cm are not available with a wood top. Rests on adjustable ABS feet.

Minotti’s collaboration with Hannes Peer, internationally recognised architect and designer from South Tyrol, makes its debut in 2024. Inspired by an approach that weave together past and present, traditional and modern elements, Hannes Peer shares the brand’s desire to shape designs that harmoniously merge aesthetics and functionality, reflecting a timeless quality that transcends the fleeting nature of trends. Constantly driven by his passion for experimenting with materials, textures and colours, Hannes Peer strives to balance architecture, interior design and product design in every project, allowing each element to find its own raison d’être.

His is an eclectic and multifaceted design language that overlaps different styles working on all scales and, when joining Minotti’s vision, it finds its perfect expression in the Yves modular seating system: a project with a dual soul that reveals itself in a combination of rigorous volumes and organic shapes, rich in unexpected and dynamic couture details.
