Description
Sirio is a rug woven and hand-finished in New Zealand wool. Its design originates from a sequence of lines inspired by the marks left by wind and water across the landscape, translated into a fluid pattern that introduces rhythm and order into the space.
The surface alternates cut and loop pile, with manual interventions creating subtle reliefs and a refined interplay of light and shadow. Depth is achieved through craftsmanship rather than strong colour contrast: delicate tonal variations build three-dimensionality and movement through texture. The New Zealand wool pile is blended with cotton fibres and supported by a lightweight, durable latex backing, ensuring softness, tactile quality and a compact yet welcoming presence. The result combines aesthetic research with technical performance, expressed in a language that aligns seamlessly with contemporary architecture.
