Far beyond the concept of a traditional sofa, the Bézier system is defined by organic, infinitely combinable seating elements that create endlessly adaptable configurations. Designed by Studio MK27, founded by Marcio Kogan, Bézier explores a distinctive compositional language through irregular volumes and fluid forms that shape and embrace both the space and those who inhabit it. Its curves are complemented by exceptionally comfortable seating, achieved through precise layers of high-density polyurethane in varying thicknesses, while carefully tailored seams follow the organic shapes of each element.

Inspired by Pierre Bézier’s famous parametric curves, the system represents a tribute to the fusion of mathematics and art, celebrating the precision and fluidity of organic forms. A continuous lumbar cushion along the backrest enhances relaxation while adding a decorative element. Highly versatile, Bézier’s generous forms can stretch into islands, creating new ways to experience living spaces in both residential and Hospitality environments. Rooted in Studio MK27’s design DNA, the collection pays tribute to Brazilian modernism and celebrates the freedom of the curve as a solution inspired by nature, balancing emotion and functionality. ADV 2025: setting the stage for the Bézier seating system — with its organic shapes and unparalleled comfort — is an eclectic environment inspired by Brazilian Modernism, where the light creates a refined balance between warmth and minimalism, intimacy and hospitality.

Structure։ The structure, including the seat and backrest, is made of plywood and coated in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam. It is encased in breathable, heat-bonded polyester fibre quilting laminated to hypoallergenic white cotton fabric, providing softness, comfort, and durability. The backrests are securely attached to the padded base through a practical quick set-and-release closure system. For easier transport and upholstery removal, the backrest can be detached from the base using the same quick set-and-release system. In the Paolina armchair, the backrest is attached to the structure with pins and levers, ensuring secure yet convenient assembly and removal.

Cushions։ Lumbar cushion in variable-density polyurethane foam, then encased in breathable heat-bonded fibre laminated to hypoallergenic white elastic fabric. Backrest cushions in channelled goose down, subject to routine sanitisation as specified in EC Regulation No. 1069/2009 (Assopiuma Gold Label certified). The 65x60 cm cushion has an additional core insert in polyurethane foam.

Covers։ Upholstery is completely removable in all versions (fabric and leather).

Feet։ In tubular metal, varnished matt Dark Brown colour, rests on SEBS glides in dark brown colour. The ottomans and Paolina armchair have an additional perimeter base in sheet metal varnished matt Dark Brown colour. Ottomans are available also with castors (structure in nylon and thermoplastic polyurethane rubber).

Paolina swivel version։ Rests on rigid castors in polyamide with thermoplastic polyurethane strip and metal support. The castors allow the element to swivel 360°.
