Description
Inspired by the timeless aesthetics of modernist architecture, the Sally armchair combines elegance and comfort with absolute geometric rigour. This furnishing piece stands out for its surprisingly well-balanced proportions and the sartorial elegance of the stitching on the backrest and armrests. The enveloping seat is made particularly comfortable by the cradle-effect backrest which, with its arched shape, creates a special feeling of cosiness. The upholstered seat base has a tapered shape that supports the backrest, armrests and seat, thus discreetly delineating the perimeter of the armchair.Proposed in the swivel version, its base consists of a metal cylinder available with a Bronze or polished Chrome finish. The cylindrical ottoman is available in the same finishes, and in the version with castors, it is easy to move, making it suitable for multiple uses in the living room.
Structure: Seat in plywood. The seat structure is padded with high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam – except for the ottoman – with high-rubbercontent elastic webbing to maximize seating comfort. Backrest and armrest structures are made of plywood covered in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam, then encased in breathable quilted heat-bonded polyester fibre laminated to hypoallergenic white cotton fabric. All of the elements employed in the quilt are hypoallergenic and made with recycled materials. Tailoring of the backrest and armrest upholstery features top-stitching.
Cushions: Seat cushion padding in high-loft channelled goose down, to lend greater softness and increased comfort, undergoes routine sanitization as specified in EC Regulation No. 1069/2009 (Assopiuma certified, Gold Label). Insert in high resilience, variabledensity polyurethane foam and, in the upper part, temperature-sensitive polyurethane material. Then the seat cushion is encased in breathable heat-bonded fibre laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric.
Covers: Structure and seat cushion upholstery is completely removable in all versions (fabric and leather). Seat cushion upholstered in fabric is reversible.
Base: Round, available in metal with varnished polished anti-fingerprint Bronze colour finish or Chrome finish. Base has a 360° swivel movement with return and adjustable feet. Ottoman is available in stationary model with adjustable feet or on 5 castors with 360° swivel; structure in nylon and thermoplastic polyurethane rubber.

Rodolfo Dordoni
Minotti’s collaboration with Milanese architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni began in 1997 and continued until his passing in 2023. Over more than two decades, their partnership played a key role in shaping the company’s design identity.
Dordoni presented his first Minotti collection in 1997, including the iconic Suitcase armchair, marking the beginning of a long and successful collaboration. In 1998, he became Art Director, overseeing the development and coordination of the company’s collections. Under his direction, Minotti evolved into a complete lifestyle brand, developing collections for residential, outdoor, and Hospitality spaces. His vision helped establish a distinctive language of Italian craftsmanship, quality, and timeless contemporary design.
