Description
An armchair with a clear Brazilian twist in which the rationalist design of Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27 joins Minotti’s manufacturing know-how, bringing out the skilful and combined use of three different materials - leather, fabric and wood - for the seat, backrest and frame. Hence the name Trio. This slender and aesthetically light, yet solid furnishing piece accommodates a sophisticated padded seat and backrest featuring exquisite craftsmanship, that meets the typical refinement of Brazilian cabinet-making in the multi-sectional woodwork of the frame. The pleasant comfort of the seat and the tactile sensation provided by the polished armrests offer an evocative sensory experience, naturally echoed in the Trio Outdoor version designed for open-air spaces.
Structure: Solid wood support structure in Dark Brown or Light Brown Canaletto walnut, or Licorice open-pore ash, kiln-dried, CNC-crafted, and assembled with dowel joinery. The structure incorporates a metal frame available in Chestnut, Forest Green, or Black Coffee finishes. The shell is made of metal for the armchair and aluminium for the dining little armchair, padded with fire-resistant polyurethane foam and high-rubber-content elastic webbing, then covered with breathable heat-bonded fibre. Decorative matching stainless-steel screws and soft top-stitching complete the refined finish.
Covers: Upholstery in fabric or leather is completely removable, by removing the frame. Black protective felt glides.

Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27
The partnership between Minotti and Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan began in 2017. Marcio Kogan approached the world of architecture and opened the Studio MK27 in São Paolo at the end of the seventies: volcanic and rigorous, attentive to the pure volumes and simple shapes of his designs, as well as the details and finishes, he favours open, squared architectures - which aesthetically and stylistically merge in and out - characterised by floor-to-ceiling windows that erase the boundary with the outdoors.
With a design style inspired by nature, the warm woods of his homeland, and the clean lines of his architectural works, in 2018, he created the Quadrado outdoor seating system for Minotti, approaching the world of design with brilliance for the first time.
