Description
Two remarkable ideas. The frame is simplicity and modularity oriented; there is no bombast in the form. Stress should also be laid on its thickness – that is, 7 mm –, almost a metaphor for its character. Something to suggest durability, stability, pregnancy. Hence it is no surprise that Johns has proved so successful, that it has opened up to a diversity of design performances and finishes in time. Long live elegance. Rodolfo Dordoni
Minotti’s collaboration with Milanese architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni began in 1997 and continued until his passing in 2023. Over more than two decades, their partnership played a key role in shaping the company’s design identity.
Dordoni presented his first Minotti collection in 1997, including the iconic Suitcase armchair, marking the beginning of a long and successful collaboration. In 1998, he became Art Director, overseeing the development and coordination of the company’s collections. Under his direction, Minotti evolved into a complete lifestyle brand, developing collections for residential, outdoor, and Hospitality spaces. His vision helped establish a distinctive language of Italian craftsmanship, quality, and timeless contemporary design.
