Description

From the design of the Trio armchair takes shape the new dining version, in which the rationalist design of Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27 joins Minotti’s manufacturing know-how, bringing out the skilful and combined use of three different materials - leather or fabric, wood and metal - for the seat and frame. The latter features a soft upholstery for the seat and backrest, making the Trio dining little armchair a sleek and aesthetically light furnishing piece, yet extremely comfortable and ideal for moments of conviviality.

Structure: The solid wood support structure is available in Dark Brown or Light Brown Canaletto walnut with matt polyester lacquer, or brushed ash with open-pore Licorice lacquer. The kiln-dried wood is CNC-machined and assembled with dowel joinery, incorporating a metal frame in polished Chestnut, Forest Green or Black Coffee. The armchair features a metal shell, while the dining little armchair has an aluminium shell, both padded with fire-resistant polyurethane foam and high-rubber-content elastic webbing, then covered with breathable heat-bonded fibre. Decorative stainless-steel screws matching the metal frame finish are positioned on the armchair legs, and the cover features soft top-stitching.

Covers: Upholstery in fabric or leather is completely removable, by removing the frame. Black protective felt glides.

INFORMATIONS REGARDING UPHOLSTERY AND COVERS: The backrest and seat upholstery can be made in the same material and colour (fabric or leather) or combined with different fabrics or leathers.

Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27

The partnership between Minotti and Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan began in 2017. Marcio Kogan approached the world of architecture and opened the Studio MK27 in São Paolo at the end of the seventies: volcanic and rigorous, attentive to the pure volumes and simple shapes of his designs, as well as the details and finishes, he favours open, squared architectures - which aesthetically and stylistically merge in and out - characterised by floor-to-ceiling windows that erase the boundary with the outdoors.

With a design style inspired by nature, the warm woods of his homeland, and the clean lines of his architectural works, in 2018, he created the Quadrado outdoor seating system for Minotti, approaching the world of design with brilliance for the first time.
