Description

Yoko is a light and elegant dining little armchair inspired by the refined simplicity of Japanese and Scandinavian design. Available with or without armrests, it combines delicate lines, refined proportions and meticulous wood craftsmanship. The armrest version features subtle joints connecting the legs and armrests, while the armless version is distinguished by bi-convex leg ends. These details highlight the beauty of the wood and the precision of the craftsmanship, creating a harmonious balance of technology, elegance and comfort.

Structure: The structure is available in solid beech with matt Chestnut, Mud, Moss or Sand lacquer, bleached open-pore ash, solid ash with open-pore Licorice lacquer, or solid Canaletto walnut in Light Brown with matt polyester lacquer. The ash and walnut versions are kiln-dried, CNC-machined and assembled with dowel joinery. The seat and backrest feature a metal frame padded with flame-resistant polyurethane foam and covered with breathable heat-bonded fibre laminated to hypoallergenic white cotton fabric. The upholstery is finished with top-stitching. Decorative Bronze-finished stainless-steel screws are placed on the armrests near the backrest, or on the rear legs in the armless version.

Covers: Upholstery for the seat and backrest is completely removable in all versions (fabric and leather). Equipped with black protective felt slides or black polyethylene glides.

N.B.: In the version with armrests, the structure shows a juncture mark near the point where the leg meets the armrest, on both the front and back parts. In the version without armrests, the upper part of the legs is finished in a lenticular shape.

Designer

Inoda+Sveje

Minotti and Inoda+Sveje met for the first time in 2021: the collaboration with the designer duo made up of Kyoko Inoda (Japan) and Nils Sveje (Denmark), that represents for Minotti an unprecedented choice, is rooted in the ineffable bond between the Orient and Scandinavia but, above all, in the brand\'s inexhaustible pursuit of beauty and excellent workmanship. Inoda+Sveje design is characterised by a harmonious approach and incredible attention to shapes and proportions: the duo takes inspiration from the world of nature, which is expressed in the sophisticated details of its projects, in the soft lines and precious joints of cabinet making.

The projects designed by Inoda+Sveje for the 2022 Collection embody the traditional aesthetics and art of wood-sanding, typical of their respective countries of origin, and Minotti’s decades of upholstered furniture expertise.
