Description

The Linha dining table, a manifesto of Studio MK27’s constant pursuit of elegance in proportions and attention to detail, takes on its most segmented form, transforming the rectangular top into a dynamic polygonal shape. Its slender legs, lacquered in patinated bronze colour, support the top in stone, marble or wood, meeting the design challenge of a dining table with a large span, a thin frame, and a top that spans up to 4 metres in length. With its unique shape, Linha Livre is the more free-form version, allowing the seats to compose a convivial, hierarchy-free arrangement around the table.

Top finishes: The tops are available in 20 mm thick Travertine, filled and smoothed, Pierre Bleue and Grigio Orobico marble, or 50 mm thick Light Wood slats in Canaletto walnut veneer with Light Brown open-pore stain and 20 mm edge. Marble and stone tops feature a 50 mm Light Wood slat underpanel. Except for the 300 × 135 × H74.5 cm version, marble and stone tops are divided into two parts, with Travertine and Grigio Orobico featuring open-book matching. The Travertine top is treated for stain resistance, although complete protection cannot be guaranteed.

Legs: In MDF with internal metal structure, clad in laminate, and varnished antique Bronze colour. Adjustable metal feet in antique bronze colour with protective ABS glides.

Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27

The partnership between Minotti and Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan began in 2017. Marcio Kogan approached the world of architecture and opened the Studio MK27 in São Paolo at the end of the seventies: volcanic and rigorous, attentive to the pure volumes and simple shapes of his designs, as well as the details and finishes, he favours open, squared architectures - which aesthetically and stylistically merge in and out - characterised by floor-to-ceiling windows that erase the boundary with the outdoors.

With a design style inspired by nature, the warm woods of his homeland, and the clean lines of his architectural works, in 2018, he created the Quadrado outdoor seating system for Minotti, approaching the world of design with brilliance for the first time.
