Description

A detail that becomes volume is the essence of Goodman, the modular seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni. Inspired by the strong graphic character of the 1970s, Goodman combines compactness and softness through Minotti’s signature matelassé stitching, creating a distinctive quilted effect across the seat. Designed for both relaxed and formal environments, the system offers traditional linear configurations alongside dynamic curved and tilted elements, available in 30°, 75°, and 90° angles. Its flexible compositions, enhanced by unexpected rounded shapes, adapt to the evolving needs of contemporary living. The ergonomic one-piece seat combines pocket springs with layered polyurethane padding to provide lasting softness and comfort. Refined Bronze or Polished Chrome metal feet and a matching recessed frame lift the system elegantly from the floor. A contoured saddle-hide tray fits onto the armrest like a saddle, transforming the seating element into a practical coffee table.

Structure: The plywood seat structure is made of multiple layers of high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam with a steel pocket-spring core for enhanced comfort and shape retention. High-elastic-content contoured webbing further improves long-term comfort, while the structure is encased in breathable, hypoallergenic quilted fibre laminated to white cotton fabric. The armrest and backrest are padded with high-resilience polyurethane foam and finished with breathable quilted fibre containing soft siliconised microfibre made from certified 100% recycled PET. Embroidered quilting enhances the seat upholstery, combining refined craftsmanship with added softness and comfort.

Cushions: Padding for backrest cushions in siliconised microfibre - with low coefficient of friction - allows optimal distribution of body weight over the support surface, to ensure outstanding comfort. Optional cushions do not contain the core insert in polyurethane foam.

Covers: Upholstery for backrest cushions is completely removable in all versions. Structure coverings in fabric and leather are completely removable after the metal perimeter base has been detached.

Base: Perimeter frame and feet in metal with chrome finish or varnished polished anti-fingerprint Bronze colour finish. Protective SEBS glides (soft, scratch-proof, oil-free, non-staining) in Pewter or Bronze colour to match the finish of the feet. To facilitate the removal of the upholstery and delivery, the armrests can be detached from the base by means of a quick coupling and uncoupling system. First, remove the screws from the base and the feet.

TRAY FOR ARMREST: Structure in curved aluminium clad entirely in saddle-hide, in the colours on the sample board.

HEADREST: Made of plywood coated in high-resilience polyurethane foam, then sheathed in breathable, heat-bonded fiber laminated to white cotton canvas. To improve adherence of the element to the seat, a counterweight is inserted inside the fabric strip where it meets the seat cushion. Non-slip fabric on the bottom. Cover completely removable.
