A floating island with square lines that marks the horizon of the living space. The Horizonte modular seating system by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27 is defined by a suspended base, a solid thin line covered in leather, fabric, or a refined combination of both, supporting generous padded elements. Guided by a clear architectural vision, its rigorous form is raised seven centimetres from the floor by a recessed matt black varnished metal plinth, creating a distinctive floating effect. Seats, backrests, and armrests are conceived as large, boldly proportioned cushions, combining precise aesthetics with an exceptionally soft, sinkable comfort. Innovative pocketed springs within variable-density polyurethane help maintain the shape while adapting to the user’s body.

Horizonte offers versatile configurations by combining modules, sloping elements, and pieces with integrated coffee tables or shelves. The base can be entirely upholstered in fabric or leather, or combine both, with refined tailoring details inspired by haute couture. Selected elements feature tops in Dark Brown stained Canaletto walnut, Licorice lacquered ash, Calacatta or Grigio Orobico marble, smoothed matt Nero Marquina, or brushed Belvedere granite. The collection is completed by coffee and side tables with polished Bronze varnished metal bases and walnut or ash tops, available in different sizes and heights to create dynamic overlapping compositions.

Structure։ The backrest cushions are padded with siliconised microfibre divided into separate channels with different densities, ensuring lasting shape retention, excellent comfort, and optimal weight distribution. Seat cushions feature multiple layers of high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam with a steel pocket-spring core for enhanced comfort and shape retention. The cushions are encased in breathable, heat-bonded quilted polyester fibre laminated to white cotton fabric, with an inner layer of soft siliconised microfibre made from certified 100% recycled PET. All materials used in the quilting are hypoallergenic.

Table-top surfaces։ The seating system includes tops attached to the base, available in various sizes and configurations.

Wood “TOP“: Features a 60 mm thick wood agglomerate panel with veneer in Canaletto walnut stained Dark Brown with a matt polyester lacquer finish, or ash with an open-pore Licorice lacquer finish. A 20 mm thick black melamine spacer panel completes the structure. 

Marble “TOP“: Features a 44 mm thick wooden agglomerate panel with a matt black lacquer finish, clad with a 16 mm thick mitre-folded marble slab. Available finishes include smoothed matt Nero Marquina, Calacatta, Grigio Orobico, and brushed Belvedere granite. A 20 mm thick black melamine spacer panel completes the structure. 

Cushions: Imbottitura cuscini schienali in microfibra siliconata con basso coefficiente di attrito, con riempimento a canali indipendenti, con differenti portate, che garantiscono una localizzazione della fibra netta e duratura. Questa soluzione garantisce un notevole comfort e consente una migliore distribuzione del peso del corpo sulla superficie d’appoggio. Cuscino sedile in poliuretano espanso ad alta resilienza composto da numerosi strati di quote differenziate. Inserto centrale composto da molle d’acciaio insacchettate che garantiscono l’indeformabilità della seduta e un maggiore comfort.

Covers: Upholstery for the structure, seat and backrest cushions is completely removable in all versions (fabric or leather).

Base: Metal perimeter base with adjustable feet, varnished matt Black. Black, oil-free, non-staining protective polyethylene glides. To facilitate removal of the upholstery, backrests and armrests can be easily extracted by releasing the levers located underneath the sofa. This procedure allows the sofa to be easily transported.

IMPORTANT: Given the delicate nature of the marble elements with smoothed matt finish, do not place objects directly onto the surface.
