Description

Cosy and contemporary in the way it combines frame and upholstery, Pattie stands out for its organic and essential lines, clearly inspired by the 1970s. An armchair that expresses extreme softness and comfort thanks to its voluminous cushioning, which appears divided into seat, lower back and shoulder rest. The shell, in glossy lacquered Baydur, sits on a central swivel base in the form of a squircle, which is a geometric shape that blends the rigidity of the square with the sinuosity of the circle. With its highly decorative appeal, Pattie brightens up the living atmosphere with an original colour palette, fitting into any environment as a true protagonist.

Structure: Composed of a weight-bearing shell in structural polyurethane (Baydur® 60) with glossy lacquer finish in Burnt Brown, Moka, Moss or Warm Grey colour. On the surface of the shell, along with the swivel mechanism, is a cover in ABS, varnished in the same finish available for the shell.

Cushions: Backrest, lumbar and seat cushions in channelled goose down (Assopiuma Gold Label certified) undergo routine sanitization as specified in EC Regulation No. 1069/2009, with core insert in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam in the lumbar and backrest cushions. To ensure stability, the backrest and lumbar cushions contain a thermoformed structural element composed of polyester felt. A non-slip fabric is applied to the back of the upholstery to ensure the cushions adhere to the structure. The perimeter of the cushions is finished with piping in the same material as the upholstery.

Covers: Upholstery is completely removable in both fabric and leather versions.

Base: Swivel, in varnished polished metal, available in colours Burnt Brown, Moka, Moss or Warm Grey, to match the shell. 360° swivel movement with return. The footstool is available only with the fixed base. Inside the base is a metal plate as a counterweight. Black polyethylene glides; also included are 15, 22.5 and 30 mm H glides, recommended for use on rugs.

Designer

Giampiero Tagliaferri

The collaboration between Minotti and Giampiero Tagliaferri, architectural and interior designer with studios in Los Angeles and Milan, kicks off in 2024.  The designer’s aesthetic approach is inspired by his bond with the two cities, reflecting the intersection of 20th century Italian design and Southern California modernism.

In this way, the delicate Milanese balance of ornament and essence, splendour and discretion blends harmoniously with Californian simplicity, understated elegance and the sensual interplay of light, colour and landscape, resulting in a distinctive and evocative design language in harmony with the brand’s style and taste.
