Sofas

Named after the city of trees, Sendai is a refined family of furnishing pieces including a small sofa, armchairs, lounge and dining little armchairs. Its elegant polished legs in Light Brown-stained Canaletto walnut or Licorice-lacquered ash lift the enveloping upholstered body, creating a distinctive rhythm of vertical lines. Selected models are also available in a 360° swivel version with return mechanism, enhancing comfort and versatility in both residential and Hospitality environments. Their compact, well-proportioned silhouettes introduce a new way of using the dining space as a more intimate “living room within the living room”.

In 2023, the Sendai family expanded with a new enveloping sofa, a comfortable swivel armchair with armrests, and a footstool. The armchair features an upholstered frame on a 360° swivel base with return mechanism, while its higher backrest and generous armrests provide enhanced comfort and relaxation, especially when paired with the footstool. The collection creates new visual and proportional possibilities for contemporary living and hospitality spaces.

Structure: Metal frame coated in fire-resistant polyurethane foam, covered with a coupled breathable and hypoallergenic laminated fibre for added softness. Plywood platform with additional insert in temperature-sensitive variable-density material, upper side covered in breathable cotton fabric bearing the Minotti logo.

Cushions: Seat cushion in high resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam encased in breathable heat-bonded fibre laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric.

Covers: Upholstery for cushions and frame is completely removable in all versions (fabric and leather).

Wooden legs: Loadbearing structure, in solid ash with open-pore Licorice colour lacquer finish or in solid Canaletto walnut, stained Light Brown, with matt polyester lacquer finish, kiln-dried. Crafted on CNC machines and assembled with dowel joinery and glue. Equipped with black protective felt slides or black polyethylene glides.

Metal legs (only for Dining little armchairs): In tubular metal with variable circular section, varnished Black Coffee colour with glossy anti-fingerprint finish. Rest on aluminium tips, Black-Nickel or Champagne chrome finish. Black protective polyethylene glides.

Swivel base: Base made of metal, varnished polished Bronze colour, with spokes - 12 mm thick - in solid ash with open-pore Licorice colour lacquer finish or in solid Canaletto walnut, stained Light Brown, with matt polyester lacquer finish. The footstool is available only with stationary base. Equipped with black protective felt slides or black polyethylene glides.
