Armchair

Yoko is a light and elegant seating design by Japanese-Danish duo Inoda+Sveje, blending Japanese aesthetics with Scandinavian lines. The collection includes an armchair, dining little armchair and bench/footstool, all defined by a distinctive dual lightness—both physical and aesthetic. Delicate, sinuous lines and refined craftsmanship shape the structure, with legs and armrests in Licorice open-pore ash or Light Brown-stained Canaletto walnut.

The wooden frame features sophisticated interlocking joints where the legs meet the armrests, turning a structural detail into a distinctive decorative element. Yoko brings together Japanese and Nordic woodworking traditions with Made in Italy upholstery expertise, creating a harmonious balance of technology, elegance and comfort.

Structure: In solid ash with open-pore Licorice colour lacquer finish, or in solid Canaletto walnut, stained Light Brown, with matt polyester lacquer finish, kiln-dried. Crafted on CNC machines and assembled with dowel joinery and glue. Seat and backrest consist of a metal frame coated in flame-resistant polyurethane foam, then covered in breathable, heat-bonded fibre laminated to hypoallergenic white cotton fabric. In the armchair and footstool, there is an additional upper layer of channelled goose down that lends softness and fluffiness. Tailoring of the backrest and seat cushion upholstery features top stitching. A varnished Bronze colour decorative stainless steel screw is placed on both armrests near the backrest.

Covers: Upholstery for the seat and backrest is completely removable in all versions (fabric and leather). Equipped with black protective felt slides or black polyethylene glides.
